Clint surely I don't have to point out the that stock market is designed to extract money from retail buyers and put it in the big boys pockets. retail shareholders will ultimaely sell if a stock is not going anywhere in long flat line periods then will buy in like crazy when the stock price doubles up .....when big money is sudenly hyping the stock and setting high projections all the while feeding the frenzy when they are happy with the take then they start shorting the stock and pull the hype back little or no coverage. Retails start bailing and pretty soon the SP nose dives and they cover at the bottom and start the cycle all over again.
In resource companies sometimes results like WTM are too big and potential takeover can result in a payday for retail
The only way to win is to play their game and wait it out and buy more when things look bleek you may loose on a few but one winner takes care of a lot of loosers
I will guarantee that you have lost more money buying into hot stocks everone said would double again and made money on the ones you almost gave up on before they sudenly popped.
I have been in Sage for along time bought a bunch before the last ride up and made a huge profit but kept few free shares just to stay in the loop but just bought in at .07 because I think this is getting close again even after adding my adjusted share cost is still below zero
enjoying the ride on WTM too been in that one since 54cent and RMK since 6 cents not bragging but go and look at those charts the gold sector should be tough to loose money in as the US dollar implodes
Just maybe I can make up my paper losses in CLL which I stupidly held in in rrsp s :) got screwed when they folded to the pressure from the banks ( they don't play fair... went after the directors personally ) that will take three years to recover
