First Uranium reports results for Q1 2010First Uranium Corporation (TSX:FIU, JSE:FUM) (ISIN:CA33744R1029)("First Uranium" or "the Company") today announced its financialresults for the three-month period ended June 30, 2009 ("Q1 2010"). TheCompany continues to advance the construction of its third gold plantand first two uranium plants at its Mine Waste Solutions tailingsrecovery operation ("MWS") and accelerate the underground developmentat its Ezulwini Mine to feed its completed gold and uranium plants. TheCompany's investments to increase uranium and gold production havecontributed to a net loss for the quarter of $33.3 million or $0.22 pershare. The substantial increase in the consolidated loss was primarilydue to the gross loss incurred at the Ezulwini Mine, which iscontinuing to ramp up its underground development to fill itsunderutilized uranium and gold plants, combined with the significantforeign exchange loss on translation during the quarter.
