Dussault best days behind themGene Simmons and Jason Dussault are both intelligent, driven, articulate businessmen, but
the Dussault brand, much like Simmons, is falling behind the times. Ultra-high-end streetwear
is becoming a thing of the past, partially due to economic reasons, and partially because it's
just run it's course. Dussault's branding is strong and he's certainly not afraid to work hard, but
this ship has sailed. My cousin works in the buying dept. at Winners (a discount / clearance dept.
store), and has told me on numerous occasions that the amount of Deuce clothing that comes in
is increasing, and that it sits on the rack for a long time even at hugely discounted prices. That
should tell you everything you need to know right there!
Full disclosure: I work in the fashion business, identifying trends for large retailers. IMHO, Ed Hardy,
Christian Audigier and any similar brands, like Deuce/Dussault, are quickly becoming a relic of
the past. The days of $200 t-shirts and $800 hoodies are over.
