RE: 2% ChanceThe test may take 48 hours but this is not the only drug they are testing. We don't know where gap is in the pipeline. I was speaking with someone yesterday who works in clinical testing and it is the break down and analysis of the results that can take time. Remember they are testing 5 dose levels on 60 human tumors... easy math tells you that it is a lot of data. I was reading through another company's 5 dose results and it isn't like the simple readouts that you see on the medical shows on TV. Not only is NCI testing how well GAP's drug works, they are also comparing the drugs performance to the tens of thousands of other drugs they have tested in the past. To say it will take 6 - 8 weeks is reasonable... hell, it took that long when I wanted to renew my passport and that wasn't a high tech clinical test. As for a leak, most labs number the drug when they get it so that the lab technicians don't know what they are working on, this prevents bias and prevents the possibility of a leak.
If you are worried about the sell off, it is because this company like all biotechs, is a gamble. With the economic meltdown we have had, we do not know the financial situation of Stormont's guys. I believe in this company but do you realize that bad results from NCI means that this company is done... 2% move on from here. There is a huge gamble here but there are also huge gains to be made... don't judge others for possibly covering their investment... if you had millions in this wouldn't you want to sell a bunch.
