It looks like the Golden Ears Bridge is more popular that Translink thought it would be.
Spokesperson Drew Snider says more 1.2 million vehicles used the bridgeduring the free month and more than half that number continue to usethe bridge.
He says while the bridge may look under-used, there are 24-thousandvehicles on it every day, "This is a bridge that's built for many, manyyears down the road as well, so it's not just the immediate need thatwe're looking at. We didn't expect it to be absolutely jam-packed inthe first year or else we wouldn't have planned it very well. So yougotta look at the bridge over the next 30, 40, 50 years."
Snider says more transponders are on the way for those still waiting toget them. He says to expect them in mailboxes in the next week or so.
