Go Figure NSR in foreign lands... in response to an IV post..
28,000 ounces is proven (inferred)... false bedrock, i.e. the gray claylayer is indicated as the "bottom" of the deposit in the NI 43-101,meaning no bedrock bonanza as we all hoped... but have they "explored"to bedrock yet? Do they know the distribution of the "fine" gold? Canthey say with certainty that there is not a "very-fine" gold fractionthat is "unrecoverable"? IMO (shared by some) their field methods(Knelson concentrator) and assay method (by tweezers) do not engendermuch confidence that the value of ground tested is thoroughly accurate.I don't think that this was a deliberate or conscious attempt to"low-ball" the resource, just an expedient and cost effective way toprovide a vehicle that moves the property towards mining licenses. Ihave said too, in no uncertain terms, that IMO the McMaster work ismoney well spent, it sets DLKM up to apply for mining licenses... welldone!
Believe me, I was very encouraged by the ties to theTanzanian govt. and the Chinese... I felt that with the Chineseinvolved, it brought credibility to DLKM's work and would serve as astabilizing influence. I believe that the ties to the Tanzanian govt.helped BIG TIME in clearing up the debris that was associated withgetting the prospecting licenses issued...
I agree that theseties gives DLKM an BIG advantage over the interlopers... so I boughtshares. I also bought shares because I understand placers and could seethe tremendous potential at Mkuvia, I still think that Mkuvia is a"dream" property. These factors, IMO, along with the NI 43-101 shouldgive DLKM a strong position to negotiate with potential suitors whowant a piece of this "dream" property... and should empower DLKM to nothave to negotiate away control or a majority position in Mkuvia. Myconcern is with what DLKM may do with this property and indicationsare,as near as I can tell, is that they may negotiate away control anda majority position, ending up in a minor position, without a say indevelopment/production decisions, with a NSR, like in the Magembe deal.
Think about a NSR... the key word is "net"... It is in thebest interest of any optionee to minimize the "net" by any meanspossible. Unless there is a clear, tight, transparent and verifiablemethod for calculating the "net", backed by on-site validation, then itcan be worth less (put those words together) than was the initial hopeof the optionor. Few companies are eager to let an outsider scrutinizetheir books that closely. This was a cautionary tale that was given tome as a budding mine geologist and I remain skeptical about NSR's...let's not be naive... trust no-one... especially when multiple millionsof dollars are at stake, especially in foreign lands!
So myhope is that DLKM finds the will and the funds to continue developingMkuvia without stepping out of first position. This will maximizeshareholder value IMO. If they don't then it may be time to take myloss and move on.
NOT investment advice, NOT a bash againstDLKM, just my concerns based on what I can speculate from DLKM actionsand indications from communications with DLKM and other SHs. DYODD!What are the counter POV? I'm down over 1/2 and look for positive POVsthat make sense. News from DLKM would help. Where is the CC? I realizethat Harp cannot please everyone and he has to do what he thinks isbest... I may not agree and that remains to be seen. My opinion only.
