We are part of the problem..<RANT ON>
I have to believe that "we" (the royal we) are part of the problem with OX. Anyone considering investing in OX and doing a Google search on this company is going to find this stockboard... and there is an awful lot of negativity here, some of it verging on outright hostility.
If you read any of the press releases, or the Mining Market Watch/All Penny Stock articles and thought "I'll do my due diligence on this one" and in the process came and looked here (and let me tell you thousands of people have looked at this board) you'd probably be thinking twice about investing just based on the comments here.
Every time someone phones/e-mails Mark we distract him from moving the ball forward. He responds because if he didn't respond someone here would be bad-mouthing all over the stockboards how unresponsive he was to someone, but if he does respond, then he's taking time away from what he needs to be doing.
The last PP was announced on January 30th, 2009, it didn't close until close to Feb 26th, and my understanding is that there wasn't much new blood brought in. The latest one was announced on Aug 4th and its just 6 weeks later, with a pretty heavy vacation month in there. If the whisper campaign that they want new blood in the stock is true, then lets be realistic. Any one who has expectations of people handing over millions of dollars without some due diligence is crazy. It will take them some time to find these folks, get in front of them, tell the story, wait for the DD to be done by analysts, internal investment boards to meet, compliance officers to approve, VP's to sign off etc. Yet within 2 weeks of the announcement people on this board were being critical that the PP hadn't alread closed.
Information just gets floated on this board as fact which, when someonedoes even the most basic sniff test or investigation/reading, you willfind out its distorted or not even close to factual. People here whoare in close touch with management or worked in the exploration yearsago have basically stopped posting because there is a chorus of peoplewho simply do not pay attention to any facts beyond the ones thatsupport their own case. I'm tired of hearing the same gripes every dayhere.
I view it as pretty positive that after 20 years on this property andprobably $30MM in money sunk into exploration people are still willingto invest millions more. Having high expectations is a good thing, having or setting unrealistic expectations is a recipe for disappointment and failure.
