RE: RE: why now?It certainly appears to be good corporate management planning to advance the product quickly.
What I like even more is that Cymat appears to be positioned nicely with potential funding of $2 -$5M in association with the Government of Canada/US for the funding of US military production orders (EDC validation completed). This is probably would be tied to a Cymat production contract award and the potential production ramp-up capital/equipment costs and additional jobs.
Big corporations also get these types of awards, General Dynamics was awarded a contract in May 2009 for $150M to produce Reactive Armor for Stryker vechicles for March 2010. In relation to this specific contract they were also awarded a grant to offset costs incurred in purchasing related equipment, streamline production efforts and create local jobs.

By the way....the above General Dynamics contract award to produce Reactive Armor for the Stryker vechicles also has a partner Raphael (Could this also be the Cymat Israel OEM?. Raphael will be at the AUSA 2009 Conference/Expodition exhibiting the armor along with General Dynamics, and Cymat is also attending this large conference Oct 5-7. https://www.ausa.org/Pages/default.aspx
It might be an ideal time to have an announcement from Cymat regarding a US Military Production contract award.

As mentioned previously General Dynamics also has an RFI in relation to Weight Reduction Initiatives (WRI) for the Stryker family of vechicles which is due today.
