US Mine Safety cites Newmont

The U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration cited Newmont Mining Corp. in the death of Steve Halverson, 57, of Spring Creek, Nevada, for failure to establish rules for pedestrian safety in a drilling area, according to MSHA’s accident report released Tuesday.
