RE: BNN newsclip
RE: BNN newsclipIraq is no different then oil companies operating in Sudan. For years oil companies have fought with drug lords, goverment and so on, where their drilling crews have been taken hostage for money. That's what this is all about MONEY, and the people behind the problems who rage war on companies operating in their country do this the only way the know how, shooting some bullet's in the air and scaring them.
Oil companies are not in the war business, they are in the making money business. So the only way of fighting these guys is giving them money to leave their pipes, crews, rigs alone. The big picture is MONEY and oil companies will tolerate these jerks because the gain is to much to walk away from. So every time a gang, drug lord, goverment comes knocking on their door because they are in controll of the area for now and want what's "owned" to them, oil companies pay because at the end of the day it will never end. Iraq will have the same issues big oil companies that produce around the world face daily.
I can see this playing out for years and years...Kurds paying rebel's to leave them alone, Iraq goverment paying the same rebel's to attack and so on... oil companies drilling and finding 2 - 3 - 4 billion barrels will pay rebel's to just stay away from their lines if the goverment can't stop them, to oil companies this is just nickles and dimes compared to the billions they will make pumping oil from their land. Until the goverment is stable and Iraq/Kurds are satisfied with the % each will recieve from oil revenue there will never be rest !!
Yes the risk is high, but the reward is so great that we as investors can't walk away. I will not worry about anything until it happens.
Cheers !
