RE: 3000m = bad news

RE: 3000m = bad newsgbenga, remember that the geologists understand alot more about the structures they are drilling in than they did when GEA was drilling. GEA stopped some of their holes while still in mineralisation, and that was at as much as 2400m! And IMHO some of those deep holes didn't go deep enough to find one of the multi-ounce veins of gold that GEA found in some other holes.
Could it simply be that CYP/SYH doesn't want to repeat the same mistake, bearing in mind that the bottom of the Thrust Package appears to be about 500m deeper in this hole than at the Bruce Channel Discovery zone. Therefore, if GEA went down to 2,400 or 2,500m then we have to go to 2,900 or 3,000m to get down to the same structures IMO.
Finally, you say 'CYP kept drilling deeper and deeper in two holes this Summer and people thought they must have found something.  Result: empty! ' But they did find something by going deeper and deeper - they found the Thrust Package! That gave them an understanding of the geology and a target for this current hole. Hopefully, right now, they have reached that target! And there is still 300m+ of potential mineralisation to go.
