Goldbrook Confirms Significant Resource Potentialat TIMTU: TIM09-016 Intersects 6.4 Metres of 1.79% Ni, 3.45% Cu, 0.06%Co and 9.21 g/t PGE+Au

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Oct 19, 2009 (Marketwire via COMTEX) --NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO U.S. NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES

Goldbrook Ventures Inc. (GBK)("Goldbrook") is pleased to announce additional results from its 2009Raglan project diamond drilling program. This program is carried outunder an Option-Joint Venture agreement with Jilin Jien Nickel IndustryCo., Ltd. of China. Goldbrook contracted four drill rigs fromBradley-Nuvumiut (Rouyn-Noranda) for a minimum of 15,000 metres ofBQ-size core. The exploration program also included extensivegeological mapping, prospecting and airborne VTEM geophysical surveysin three large target areas. Field crews mobilized to the Belanger basecamp in mid June and by late September completed a total of 87 holestotaling over 16,180 metres.

Timtu zone

Drilling at Timtu in 2009 was designed to test the potential ofnickel sulphides first intersected in 2007. The first Timtu resultswere released on Oct 6th and this release reports the remaining Timtudrill results for sections 507900, 507925, 507950, 507990, 508035 and508050 East (see map and illustrative section on Goldbrook website at https://www.goldbrookventures.com/EN/timtu/).

As a result of this program Goldbrook has confirmed the presence ofsignificant Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization at vertical depths greater than200 metres and along strike for over 150 metres. The sulphide zone isinterpreted as a folded, down-dip extension of the Timtu mineralizationpreviously intersected near surface. Geological interpretation of the2009 drilling indicates that there is significant, and as yet untested, additional depth and strike potential at Timtu.

The 2009 drilling extended the known Timtu zone down dip and alongstrike within the ultramafic rocks, discovered the "Copper" zone withinthe sediments adjacent to the ultramafic footwall in numerousdrillholes, and confirmed significant new potential both down dip andalong strike for additional Ni-Cu-PGE sulphides.

The highlights of these 2009 drilling results for the Timtu zone are as follows:

TIMTU Main zone:

- Drillhole TIM09-007 (Easting 508035; -90 degrees) intersected 6.5metres of sulphides from 69.0 to 75.5 metres downhole averaging 1.34%Ni, 0.48% Cu, 0.06% Co and 3.25 g/t PGE+Au. - Drillhole TIM09-008(Easting 508035; -78 degrees) intersected 10.70 metres from 84.70 to95.40 metres downhole averaging 0.87% Ni, 1.01% Cu, 0.03% Co and 3.22g/t PGE+Au. - Drillhole TIM09-010 (Easting 508050; -90 degrees)intersected 4.40 metres from 58.00 to 62.40 metres downhole averaging0.73% Ni, 0.60% Cu, 0.03% Co and 2.56 g/t PGE+Au. This intersectionincludes a higher grade zone of 1.40 m from 61.0 to 62.40 with anaverage grade of 1.33% Ni, 0.86% Cu, 0.04% Co and 4.27 g/t PGE+Au. -Drillhole TIM09-013 (Easting 507990; -75 degrees) intersected 27.0metres from 126.5 to 153.5 metres downhole averaging 1.09% Ni, 0.87% Cuand 3.64 g/t PGE+Au. - Drillhole TIM09-016 (Easting 507925; -45degrees) intersected several high grade sections of nickel sulphide.Highlights are 2.50 metres from 13.7 to 16.2 metres downhole averaging3.65% Ni, 1.87% Cu, 0.12% Co and 4.11 g/t PGE+Au; followed by 6.40metres from 21.5 to 27.9 metres downhole averaging 1.79% Ni, 3.45% Cu,0.06% Co and 9.21 g/t PGE+Au, which includes 3.20 metres averaging3.50% Ni, 6.33% Cu, 0.11% Co and 13.31 g/t PGE+Au. - DrillholeTIM09-017 (Easting 507900; -75 degrees) intersected 21 metres of nickelsulphides from 69.6 to 90.6 metres downhole containing an average of0.78% Ni, 0.64% Cu, 0.04% Co and 2.45 g/t PGE+Au.

COPPER Zone:

- During the 2009 drill program at least ten drillholes at Timtuintersected a significant footwall related copper sulphide zone to theNi-Cu-PGE main zone. This footwall Copper zone consistently is about0.75% to 1.5% copper with very low related nickel or PGE values (SeeTable 1 for details). Core intersections within this zone vary fromabout 1 to 14 metres core length and this is interpreted to be a zoneof a few metres true thickness within the footwall rocks and having acomplex distribution consistent with the folded Timtu Ni-Cu-PGE zone ofsulphides.

These results complete the results available for the Timtu zone.Goldbrook will release additional drilling assay results as theinformation becomes available and is reviewed for accuracy.

Summary

The 2009 exploration program focused on developing new Ni-Cu-PGEsulphide targets, particularly along the Belanger and related trends,as part of Goldbrook's longer term exploration objectives for thecompany. Until mid September Goldbrook drilled over 87 holes on targetsalong the Belanger trend totaling over 16,180 metres. Samples from thisdrilling have been submitted to ALS Chemex in Vancouver and furtherresults will be released as they become available. In addition totesting new targets and the known Timtu and Pad zones, continueddrilling around the Mystery zone has been a very high priority for the2009 drilling season.

Analyses

Drillcore samples from the 2009 drill program were assayed by ALSChemex Laboratories in Vancouver, BC (ISO 9001:2000 certified). Samplepreparation was completed at the ALS Yellowknife facility. Assayresults for nickel, copper and cobalt were determined by HNO3-HCLdigestion and ICP-AES finish and report nickel in sulphides. Platinum, palladium and gold were determined by fire assay fusion and ICP-AESfinish. In addition to the ALS Chemex quality control procedures,Goldbrook inserts Certified Reference Materials, blanks and duplicatesinto the sample batches for independent quality control.
