Regarding who will fire the first salvo I opt for your third choice, "OR?".
Sages land grabs have IMO been for tactical and strategic reasons A N D for one other reason that I did not mention in post #27561223 dated 20/22/09 but the company did say in their response to my questions. "The 'land grabs' are well thought out....., they follow a proven pattern......we just do not throw darts in a map...." So we have at least FOUR reasons for Sage picking up that property. To recap they are as follows:
1- Tactical [no one else can grab the property]
2- Strategic [for any future business dealings]
3- Additive [to existing SGX claims that are adjoining or nearby]
4- Proven [past performance in that area]
5- Common sense [dictated they make the move]
Regarding deals and something brewing in the BGGC. There are going to have to be some deals for a number of reasons, some of which are included above. Perhaps we should add "survival of the juniors" and profit to the list.
It is a ways off yet but it IS coming. I say that not just because of the natural evolution of events in such cases but also because of the signs of the times.
