Australian interest in NS

Australian interest in NSI wonder why the Australians are so interested in Nova Scotia.  NS seems so small and so far away from Australia that it doesn't seem like a probable place for them to come to seek their fortune. I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth but it does make me curious.
