Not really.  Real Gold (not gold in the ground) will jump up because of a short supply compared to demand.  If the dow drops that far, people will be scrambling for that real gold and that pushes the demand (and price) up.  But with a dow like that it is because we are really in a depression and no one with any money to invest - so how you going to get that mine built in order to get that gold out of the ground.  If that was so easy, the gold price would not go up because the supply could just be increased to match that new demand..$0$0$0$0This is why we have seen the rise in gold PRODUCERS and not gold Juniors.    Now this does make a good situation for producers to buy juniors, but you better be invested in the right one...  This is where the good juniors will get bought out so that producers can increase their resources at fantastic bargins.$0$0$0$0$0Just my opinion of course.$0
