RE: RE: This is a very interesting news story!!"But what people need to realize is that, most likely, on the assumption that Gahcho Kue gets permitted, gets the go-ahead, by 2025, there won't be much left here in terms of diamond mining"

Well there's DB BS'ing again. Gahcho Kue will be a mine within 2 years, or earlier. Did DeBums drill all of the NWT? There's probably 30 years of mining just in the JV with MPV and the "other pipes" no one talks about anymore. Shhhh. Stay still and quiet so nobody notices us.
Anyone who believes anything from DB, doesn't know their history.

Not neccessarily DBs stupidity in this case cbrit. I worked in the mines up in Timmins for a few years...you will ALWAYS hear people talk about mine life expectancies and think "that's it....another 15 years then we're dead" but these figures are always given with known resources. With marine2's favorite leases next door and surely other kimberlite pipes in the region but just not yet discovered, those timeframes will surely be adjusted after GK mine opening.

If the dates were always hard dates, Xstrata (formerly Falconbridge, formerly Kidd Creek, formerly Texas Gulf...) up in Timmiins would have been shut down years or even decades ago...not happening anytime soon.
