Weekend reading-Seeps and History

I'm sure someone has posted this in the past so let credit fall where it is due. However, I have been reading many post that sound like they have no basis in fact. To help educate myself I did as we all do, I searched the internet and came up with the following two links.

The first one is a little history and it discusses seeps and the Zargos Fold in Iran. Inasmuch as the same Zargo's fold is under VST's feet I think it is a very relevant article.

After reading these, and others like it, I'm not sure what intelligent indivual would not take on the risk in order to reap the VAST reward.
