Instead the Canadian government has become the largest subprime mortgage holder in the world.  We've yet to see the ramifications of Capmark's demise.  Capmark's failure was a game changer.  The commercial real estate market looks to be on the verge of implosion. On top of that the Canadian banks stand to lose billions of dollars in the US real estate market.  $16 billion dollars in the residential real estate market is not chump change.

I'm not sure many take Barrons as seriously as they used to after a slew of bad calls.
