rumour mentioned in your post: that someone is tak"rumour that you mentioned in your post: that someone is taking over the company."
My opinion is that is just a smokescreen to scare current shareholders in supporting current management; meaning that if someone take control that RW takes his UNRG football and goes elsewhere.
Certainly these guys have done a bad job for many years, and seems now the treasury may be pilfered as we suspected long ago.
If they are looking for support, then why not release information, keeping shareholders informed. Certainly leaking information to Curtis is not making the SP rise any longer. Even Curtis is being careful what he says, as much of his paragraphs are at best empty of substance.
I'm not sure that pressing Wolfgang is a valid move, as I seriously don't believe that pressing him would raise the SP in any manner what so ever.
Why would anyone want to take over REV? The most promising as so said Stocktalk long ago is this tar sands play.
It does seem the pieces are there, but it is very fragmented to say any real deal exists that would propel the SP.
Red Mtn and the Polish assets etc have substance, but as the past dictates, finding someone to carry the ball and deliver the touchdown has always been the course. So now the question is why does UNRG need REV and the current management? Seems these boys are quite old and a long term friendship exists, and RW does have tar sands connections; enough to keep him on the team would be my guess.
I think that if they were concerned that they should be looking at First Nations which just may have enough shares etc, and is just as tired of this drag out promise of a better tomorrow. Especially if First Nations has a closer eye view that other shareholders.
If they were truely afaid of leaking information fostering a takeover, they could have produced quite a bit of information over the last few years and had a worthy (much higher) SP than where it is now and an easy takeover target at 6 cents. Which leads me to believe we have witnessed another dumb move.
Wouldn't it be nice to see them prove us all wrong?
