You know...one thing strikes me odd is that when we go out to buy a vehicle, one of the things we look for is one of the cleanest ones (appearance wise). Same with a house, neat and tidy; generally well looked after and warm. Heck I bet for most people, they'd even look for the cleanest looking prostitute they could find before plunking their money down.
But this rule does not apply to fuels. Not only are we using dirtier fuels than are available, they are also more expensive than the alternative.
I guess it's the same as the education system in that many of us go to school to get the least out of it possible and still pass, so I guess its not that much of a surprise when we don't make the right choice. Oddly enough, the people who did go to school to get a good education are not making any better decisions than those that didn't; but at least we are not making huge decisions in the name of "good Government" and pretending that we are doing a bang up job of it.
