Interesting ...... Rogers / Globalive

Interesting ...... Rogers / Globalivehttps://www.globeinvestor.com/servlet/story/GI.20091113.escenic_1362865/GIStory/

Spectrum is a very valuable asset,” Rogers chief executive officer Nadir Mohamed told reporters Friday. “Rogers for sure would be interested in picking it up.”

The above statement from the linked article sure makes one wonder even more about what went on behind the scenes with Look's spectrum sale ........... wasn't there a supposed glut of spectrum a few months ago? Why is it all of a sudden so valuable now? LOL
Am I right in assuming that Look's spectrum range was superior in population coverage and quantity to Globalive's. If this is the case, it begs the question ............. does Globalive happily sell their spectrum to Rogers for 1 / 10th what they paid for it? Again LOL ........... I would assume Rogers would pay what Globalive paid for it plus interest. Bizarre to say the least.
It would seem that there is so much corruption and cronyism within this country's telecom industry right on up to the government and bureaucracy (ie. CRTC) .......... too bad it couldn't all be exposed for what it is. Did the BOD have the best interest of Look's shareholders in mind with regards to the Look sale?
I wonder if there's any young hotshot lawyers willing to make a name for themselves ........... ahhhh, forget it -- they'd probably just get bought off.
