Very interesting info for GWY on VEN's siteIn particular there is mention of Galway's Pie de Gallo pit...in the history section for the region.
So bottom line...Anaconda did do some drilling on the property, but had poor recovery of the cores...Very fractured.
Things are begining to look very interesting for GWY IMO.
It's not often that you come across a company like Galway that has such a solid opportunity in its Columbian gold exploration, next to 2 world class gold properties, with the insurance of its advance moly-tungsten and coal properties...
GWY is no one trick pony my friends...Should be seeing lots of news in the near future...
ST
"In 1947, the Anaconda Copper Mining Company took an option on a property (Pie de Gallo)
that encompassed the La Baja and La Alta areas and conducted gold exploration via
tunnelling and limited core drilling. Core recoveries were reportedly so poor that
insufficient information was available to justify an onerous option payment and
Anaconda released the property."
(Pie de Gallo is in the Baja area according to the article)
Here is the article the clip was taken for (See pg 7.)
