Exile now in ZambiaZambia selects seven firms to explore for oil -minister

LUSAKA, Nov 18 (Reuters) - Zambia selected seven of theeight foreign and local firms that submitted bids to explore foroil in three provinces of the southern African country, minesminister Maxwell Mwale said on Wednesday.
Zambia, Africa's top copper producer, invited bids for oilexploration in June after demarcating 23 oil blocks in itsnorthwestern, western and eastern provinces.
Mwale said in a statement GP Petroleum and PetrodelResources from the United Kingdom, Glint Energy from the UnitedStates and Exile Resources from Canada had been selected alongwith three Zambian firms.(Reporting By Chris Mfula)
