Can anyone explain the statement

in the last news release " to help alleviate the backlog of 30,000 feet of unlogged drilled surface core"
Does this mean the core needs to be gone over to determine if it needs assaying? Does it all need assaying?
Wonder what zones it came from?
Surface core? Drilled at surface, brought up to surface? Just laying there? Anyone?
