Who ?CGX is probably in advanced talks with many companies...But who will go ahead for the drill?
I doubt that CGX will go it alone with just a "financing" deal except if the conditions are extremely favorable.
Many things have been happening offshore Guyana over the last year :
/Exxon re-activating their Stabroek concession.
/Tullow moving into Georgetown concession (30% interest).
/Shell takes a 25% interest in Exxon's Stabroek concession.
/Tullow sells to Shell France at least a 33% interest in it's offshore French Guyana concession.
/Tullow said that they might, before year's end, farm out another % of their French Guyana concession.
/Two companies will drill onshore Guyana..See what happens to ON (CGX's subsidary).
So, Tullow ,Exxon (Who has been rather quiet recently),Shell have all been moving...
One should not forget the silent players in the region..TOTAL, Repsol,Noble,Anardarko,...
Even some "outsiders" could come to play..China, Brazil with their respective national oil companies.
I think that all operators in Venuzuela would like to have ressources in Guyana just in case...
We have an exciting game of "Chinese checkers" going on.....
Kerry Sully realize's this and i'm sure that he'll and management will do their best.
Regards to all !
