You shouldn't listen to what people preach, look for yourself. One example I see everyday is the mountain pine epidemic in BC. This is cause by an increase in average temperature. In the past we used to get winters that would get consistently to -40, these cold snaps in early winter would kill the beetles, it hasnt even reached - 40 in years. But we dont have to worry about the beetles anymore, the trees are all dead.
