RE: RE: RE: next week another whopper drawdown

RE: RE: RE: next week another whopper drawdown" I use the term mm's loosely, we all know how manipulated NG futures are"

Do we? The NG market trades between $5-$10 billion day, and has many, many market participants, all of which are competing against each other....it is pretty hard to believe that one or two entitys are responsible for moving the market at it's whim.....the market is massive, too big to manipulate

Certainly, the commodity has a lot of volatility, and this is certainly where the big houses make their money. But don't mistake volatility for namipulation...the reason it's volatile is because there is so much uncertainty around it, and the factors that DO move it (mainly weather) can and do change on a dime......none of the other commodities main factors can change as quickly as NG's, (generally) thus the volatility.

It is inconcievable that ANY large market participant (think Goldman, or any other similar entity) would make any kind of directional bet of any size.....these guys make their money in volatility, they would be using very complex trades designed so that they make money regardless of what direction NG went.

It's not like GS decides to go 'long' on any particular day, or 'short'.....that is best left to the gamblers....these guys are not gamblers.
