 Marco Veilleux, operations manager at the facility, said in a recent telephone interview. said:

Once the cogeneration plant is generating revenue, the mill will be converted into a biorefinery to produce bio-based chemicals as well as power from the forest residue, Veilleux said.

"Those products have a higher (profit) margin than the pulp and, we think, provide a more stable market than the pulp market does," he said.
