We'ren't they too highly leveraged and concentrated in commercial paper, packaged up subprimes, and "low risk" derivatives? My broker is behind the times too. He keeps me diversified. But I am happy with "mediocre returns" after last year. Not saying that I'm taking any of my AMZ of the table, but I think you're description of old school fund managment is new again, and your description of the new fund management style has come and gone crashing down last year didn't it?
