While I missed some major moves - in particular during the dot com years when valuations moved to the lunacy stage (which, by the way was the new norm for the 21st centuray if I recall), I also have managed to avoid any significant losses. Perhaps you are correct, but I don't believe for a minute that this is a concept being applied to all, or even a meaningful percentage of funds at this time. Also, when applying this philosophy, at which point do you book profits? There was plenty of time to accumulate AMZ under $.20 cents. That's a 1000% gain. Surely you must subscribe to protecting your gains if you are a fund manager in December who's destroying the DOW averages, no?
