RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: major news out of atlaenersol.. i was chatting with some solar guys in waterloo today and i think something BIG is coming down the pipeline.
i heard that an acquistion by sustainable or sustainable being bought out. thats whats being said on the "solar" street in southern ontario. i'm extremely concerned about this and will hope to see a shareholders right plan issued if this is true. apparently arise is considering taking us out.. thats what i was told by a close hand to me.. i cant see it happening but fundamentally understand why they want to do it. time will tell on this, and i will continue to monitor this front VERY closely. i fail to see why solaer, schetuen, first solar, or even our dear friends at salicru would have an interest in us.
over 1000MW (1GW) are expected to be installed in ontario next year, possible up to 2GW depending on mcguinty.
with the EU slowing down somewhat, including the cap in spain of 500MW, and the issues in California ALOT of investors and companies are looking to get into ontario. several panel manu's have bought racking companies out, to intregrate the industry, and this trend will continue. sma bought out that micro inverter company from denmark, with a unique technology platform, also XTX being bought was big for the industry.
i went over a couple of industry reports that pointed several trends in the industries.
-chinese cell and panel manu coming online and gaining market share.
-manu being moved to north america
-panel manu setting up their own projects to consume inventory
-continue consolidation in the industry, creating industry global giants over the next 12 months
-solar power to meet "parity" (cost versus nuke, coal, ect) by 2015
-thin film to represent 80% of global solar market by 2015
global outlook for 2010 is as follows:
-france/italy to become seriuos international market
-belgain and czech have strong outlooks
-germany is to install approx 2GW of solar
-spain capped at 500MW
-greece to be leader in the balkans
-canada to install upwards of 1000MW
-usa to install upwards of 1000MW
-china to install upwards of 1000MW
sustainable sells 100MW of inverters @ 1500$ a piece equates to 30Million CDN in revenue. i think they could do approx 50MW of their own projects in ontario valued at approx 1million a megawatt including inverters.
they should be able to do at least 15-20million in the euros (assuming no new alliances/partnerships).
4million on the books from greece, and 10million from salicru on the books. signet took the all the inventory, im assuming at a good deal valaued at 1.5million CDN.
with spain now solidly capped, the strong will re-emerge, scheuten, salicru, solear, and of our large construction friends at copisca, which we started to see sales already in seville.
the private label deal into the 2gw german market is still open? and our alliances in france, and italy have not been announced, or finalized. i also suspect that something massive is coming out of europe with signet solar.
i have a clear vision and understanding of the market and were sustainable is heading in the new year, 2010.
remember that this technology attract daunty hanson technology venture funds $$$, at an economic time unparrell to what anyone has seen since the early 1900's.
the euros have seriuos energy issues and extremely limited natural resources, and they could feel russia's pinch, such as they did in georgia, and are obviuosly not afraid to do in ukraine.
this stock will hit that 60cents range, and trade there for a month for the new ceo to excerise his options at .15cents and .60cents, by the spring of 2010 (90days), and will trade around the 1.50 mark by this time next year.
i posted this stock would see .40cents by the end of 2009, and sure enough we hit it. time will tell if im correct... hate to be the guy who sold me my shares at .09cents.
Best of luck and happy holidays to all the longs..
