RE: WELL, MY OPINION .... Truce Bubba

RE: WELL, MY OPINION .... Truce BubbaFirst,  I never said that Tambogrande was not in Piura.  I think everyone knows that it is.   I did say there were no mines in Piura.  Tambogrande is not a mine it is a mineral deposit. These are two very different things.   Untill some infrastructure is put in place it will remain simply that, a deposit.

I am surprised, as a lawyer, you would rely in wikipedia for research.  It is a well known fact that many postings on Wiki are inaccurate.  Case in point, that last sentence on Tambogrande says that "
In 2003 the project was officially cancelled by the government of Peru. In response the president of Manhattan Minerals, Graham Clowwho had repeatedly agreed that if the people opposed the mine itwouldn't be built, was fired and the company has continued to try toconvince the government of Peru to restart the project."

In fact Graham Clow stepped down as president in May 2001, and was replaced on an interim basis by Lawrence Glaser until Charles B Smith took over in April 2002.

Even if they haven't given up on TG, the shares of T.MAN have been delisted and we don't even know if the company still existsl.  Whether they are still (in 2010) working with the Peruvian government remains to be seen.  Nevertheless if the project does ever get revived, it will be a different company that runs the project.  Too bad for those with expensive manhattan wallpaper.

NowI understand why you're posts to me are so derogatory. The suggestion Iam from Texas is your way of saying George Bush is an idiot.

Actually you are way off here.  Although I do believe that George W Bush (not to be confused with his father who was a respected and good leader IMO) is a complete idiot.  Regardless of his record as President, he is simply a bumblehead.  Unfortunately for Mensa once a member always a member.  I guess they didn't take into account the long term affects of alcohol abuse ... but I digress ...

My reference to you being from Texas was in response to your "Elephant country not Elephant area" comment .... and it's parallel to the slogan  "Everything's BIG in Texas".  It actually had nothing to do with GWB.  Plus, at the risk of starting a pissing contest,  I have also been posting on this board  for over 4 years and been a member since June 2005.  I have 4 ignores, 1/6th of the number you have.

For the record, I do own a potload of PLE and am holding some 10 cent warrants as well.  I am with you in wanting nothing but the best from PLE, but if you are sincerely trying to "protect" the newbies as you like to say, keeping a more balanced approach would be more appropriate.  Bashing the bashers is not productive.  The risk with PLE right now huge, the potential is also huge but realistically, If I didn't own shares already I would not be buying until there is news of an accord because at that time the risk/reward becomes much more favourable even if it does cost twice as much... and that is my opinion.

Sincerely
Tib
