Given that I believe that Pennsaid and transdermal intellectual property will earn literally stacks of money for whoever owns it, I think that Covidien will offer something around one dollar per share. This will appear as a "generous" fair price based on the current stock price and potential competition from other deep-pocketed pharmaceutical companies. A quick, friendly takeover, if you will. There are many factors in play here such as tremendous investor fatigue....some have held on for over a decade. Even those longs have had ample opportunity to average down when shares were trading at 8 cents not that long ago. If ( and as I believe when) an offer comes through for a buck a share from Covidien a majority of investors will take the money and run. Good Luck.
