Financial Post 2009 Competition

The Financial Post Investing Team led by Jonathan Ratner won 2009with a return of more than 115%, outpacing the market and theprofessionals and earning top honours in the annual FP Stock Pickers'Challenge.

FP held off a late surge from runner-up Kate Warneand third-place finisher Norman Levine. They ended the competition withannual returns of 55% and 43%, respectively.

Small-cap expertBrandon Osten finished up 33% and Murray Leith had a 10.5% return ashis "best-of-breed" selections continued to gain traction in the fourthquarter.

Hugh Cleland of Northern Rivers Capital Managementranked sixth as one of his picks, VendTek Systems Inc., has not tradedsince February and was therefore valued at zero.
