I'm not down playing the importance of the actual patent just saying that the data collected is what really makes this thing tick.  As for developing real time data faster than, well, real time, that seems strange.  I realize a larger company could get the tool into more geological sceanrios faster but the fact of the matter remains that  WEE will always have a 10, 15, 20 year advantage on the data stream and all the trial and error tweaks that help to improve the end results.  I think WEE will have covered most of the geological scenarios for EoR by the time 2018 get's here....
