VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 15, 2010) - Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SQI - News; the "Company") is pleased to report assay results for the remaining six diamond drill holes completed during the fall 2009 drill program on the Capoose Project located 185 km southwest of Prince George, British Columbia ("Capoose"). For property details and maps, including a drill hole location map, please visit the Company's website www.silverquest.ca.
Drill holes D-09-101 and D-09-103 were drilled to test the possible north and west extensions of mineralization intersected in hole D-08-091 (news release December 11, 2008) and the area northeast of Zone 2.
Drill holes D-09-102 and D-09-104 were drilled to test geochemical soil anomalies of 300 parts per billion (ppb) gold and 7.9 grams per tonne (g/t) silver and 150 ppb gold and 7.1 g/t silver respectively in the area between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
Drill holes D-09-105 and D-09-106 were drilled to test the southern extent of Zone 2 mineralization. D-09-105 was abandoned in a fault zone before reaching the target depth.
Silver and gold mineralization at Capoose is associated with disseminated sulphide minerals. The Company plans to continue to expand the known limits of mineralization with an extensive drill program during 2010.
Significant assay intercepts include:

Drill core analysis and assaying were conducted by Stewart Group Global - Eco Tech Laboratory in Kamloops, BC which is an International Standard ISO 9001:2000-certified laboratory. The core samples were analyzed using a 28-element ICPMS package with a 30-gram fire assay with AA finish for over limit (plus one gram per tonne) gold and (plus 30 grams per tonne) silver concentrations. The Company has implemented a quality assurance and control program to ensure that sampling and analysis of all samples is conducted in accordance with the best possible practices. Diamond drilling was carried out by Driftwood Diamond Drilling Ltd. of Smithers, BC.
