RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: To robbie25...."In my opinion for you to be extolling the virtues of shorting highly volatile penny stocks and that everyone should so on the sole basis that you think they should is not only reckless but quite frankly leads me to now understand your true motives which are neither honorable or ethical and most certainly not intended to be helpful to anyone but yourself."
What the hell are you talking about? Why would I base my investment strategies on anything OTHER then to be helpful to myself? Investing is a zero sum game....that is, every dollar profit I make has to be a dollar loss from somebody else. There is nothing "unethical" about that. That is investing.
Nor is there anything unethical or dishonourable about shorting any stock. Shorting serves an invaluable purppose and is absolutelyt necessairy for a healthy, functioning market. To suggest otherwise suggest a lack of market knowledge.
Certainly, as you say, shorting penny stocks that are volatile is more risky then say, shorting a not as volatile stock. But that doesn't mean that shorting a peny stock is "wrong." It is all just a question of how much risk one is willing to assume. For me, with EC where it is right now, it is much more risky to be buying EC then shorting it.
Sure, you guys all hate me know, but in a few weeks when I say EC is a buy, you'll all rate me high and talk about how great my posts are. Until then, you'll all whine about it as it slowly drifts down, complaining about the "evil" shorters, or those damn Market Makers......
