Yes anyone can trade under anon but usually for a reason. They don't want certain parties to know who they are. Shorters and day traders are a good example who use it a lot so they can mast their gameplan from the competition to some degree.
I only mentioned it today because several on this site previously seemed to think the anon was someone to pay attention to. Not really, they are just trying to make a nickel while we are looking for the dollars.
