I was wondering when the escrow shares were coming up and as you said it could be the explanation for the higher than usual volume. Is this the last of the shares held in escrow for them? They must still have some options available to them, but they may not be in the money.

It looks like China is worried about agriculture and their food supplies in the coming year. Even in today's news with the acquisition of Potash from Agrium reaffirms to me the viability of MPE's fertilizer and fish feed businesses. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of MPE's production is already being spoken for in 2010.
