RE: Been Stalking WZR for months
RE: Been Stalking WZR for monthsJust to clarify a couple of things from your good read Nelson and thank you by the way, very informative.
WZR published a contingent reserve calculation of 523 billion cubic feet of gas and 21 million |Barrels of oil/condensate in the Oligocene zone of the Kirdamir 1. The flow rates were estimated up to 52 million cubic feet of gas per day and 2240 barrels of oil/ condensate per day. This contingent reserve does not include any additional oil/condensates down dip and along the flanks of the formation.
WZR has now published that geochemical evaluation of these condensates indicate that they are likely related to an oil source deeper in the Kirdamir and along the flanks of the structure.
That reads to me like a major clarification of the gas zone which is more likely now an oil zone with commercial gas, and following the conclusion of the previous paragraph, the oil and gas discoverd deeper in the Aaliji/ shirani zones was likely anticipated.
Altogether and pending final confirmation of test results, I see no downside in this well, but tons more upside with a new shallow drill test of the Oligocene flanks almost a guaranteed success. DO your own reasearch but I have based my assumtions here on information published by the company.
