Decision Time, for me anywayI'm drinking coffee and watching my real-time quote screen as ATI sags to $27.20 on extremely low volume. I'm sitting here wondering who's dumping the stock today. We're 1 week before results and I suppose a few people are frightened. I wish ATI guy, or Ben, or my other ATI psychiatrists were here talk me into another 5000 shares in the low $27,s. I'm very tempted. Unfortunately, the 12,000 that I already hold would make the investment imprudent according to various textbooks on diversification and overexposure. I'm just thinking out loud here so forgive me. I just hope like hell that the 6th of April will be a day to uncork the Dom Perignon and not the bottle of cyanide.
In any case, the stock has dropped into a sort of suspended animation as volumes become negligible. I suppose everyone has taken their position and people are just sitting and waiting. All I know is that if results are very positive the upward coil effect on the price will be driven not just by additional long buying but by some rather important short covering which will propel the stock substantially. In a perfect world $27 will be $33 in about a week. If only I knew I could get those $6 for sure.
Dream on.
