RE: RE: TSX Closed MondayIt's not a statutory holiday in Ontario, just as Remembrance Day and Easter Monday aren't. Law in Ontario is that a company has to pay employee nine holidays per year. However, company or union can negotiate paid day off, employee can take a sick day, or employee can give up another paid holiday such as Simcoe Day in August; but bottom line is that no company in Ontario has to give their employees the day off with pay.
