RE: CLL Fundamentals/Trading
RE: CLL Fundamentals/TradingObviously, one would think that the bias of investors would be that increasing production, under current conditions, will be a net positive for the company and the share price. One could also argue that the improving technicals on the charts are a forecast of improving attitude of investors. It's a subtle change in perception and momentum that turns an indicator from negative to positive. You can anticipate these things with your gut, no doubt but you could anticipate such an improvement a month ago or more, knowing the progress of the project. You could have bought at $1.63 in such an anticipation. Or you could use technical indicators as a further tool. You and I both knew that Algar was progressing and that the market would likely react positively in anticipation of production doubling soon. But only one of us was able to predict that taking profit at $1.50-ish and waiting for the pull-back to $1.21 was prudent and statistically probable. That's how T/A makes you more effective at investing. Again, the key is always to ignore the emotion (THIS IS IT! ALGAR IS COMING! THE STOCK ISN'T STOPPING THIS TIME! WE'RE GOING THROUGH THE ROOF!), believe what the chart says and ACT!
