Ooops!!! They probably got the cement retarder concentration wrong or they stopped displacing it (it you stop moving cement slurry then you half the setting time) Everyone knows that, don't they? So they've lost almost 5000ft of hole. Now that's not very clever is it?

Don't know all the details either but this is a quote from the message I rec'd "cement mix was wrong and it set at 2400 mt instead of 3900 so we have to kick of at 2400 and drill new hole"

So they got a casing problem that might take a while to resolve? Best guess is if it's not stuck casing then the other worse case senario is if the cement that's pumped down the casing and up the outside (annulus) to set has set up in the casing. Now that is a real bummer if that happens as you would have casing full of now hard cement that is too heavy to pull out and a hole with no circulation for a long time. The only recovery would be to cut the pipe above the cement , plug back and pull the free casing and side track. Give it a few weeks and pick this up cheap if that is the case. but I am making an assumption on very little info so please don't quote me on anything,

Sorry for any confusion the post was about "WZR"! NOT sey. Not heard much on that front yet.

Nope that will be Western Zagros (WZR). TBot has a contact who provides occational info. on both. Thanks for the heads up TBot, I will now be going very very very long on WZR!

The consolidation has done nothing positive for this share as the private investors who would have normally had a flutter as a penny share will be put off at these prices. Im considering topping up now as my current average works out at £2.10! Do you think I should hold out for a drop off try and top up now?

I have had these for years and was annoyed at the consolidation and there lack of regard for investors so have sold out. They are not expecting to hit the good stuff (if its there) until about June so can climb back in if I get the right signals. GLTA

heard not so good news, that they have had a problem with cement casing and it might delay them for a good few weeks/months. I don't know how this will affect the price as all these shares seem to go up on bad news and down on good news, just happened a few days ago so I don't know when news will flter through but heads up anyway for anyone in them.
