Maysteeler/VST/WZR
Maysteeler/VST/WZRI really think Maysteelers heart is in the right place, I’m just not sure the brain is. He/she is correct in that whatever happens to WZR will have an impact on VST, however, I don’t think something bad with Kurdamir will have a direct positive impact on VST. If WZR has more problems with their well that they can’t deal with it will help VST in the lessons learned department, but I find it hard to believe money will rush into VST because of WZR’s misfortune. If anything I think it may give some investors pause, or at least it should.
In my mind the real issue is the election, the on-going violence, the withdrawal of the US and Iran. Anyone that invests is Iraq has to do so with their eyes wide open and you just can’t look at the prospect of finding oil, which I think is very good. You have to consider the instability of the region and everyday that a new report of sectarian violence arises it is a negative for all the Jrs. in the region. I think that until the elections are held and something is done about Iran the prospects of making real money will be held in check, no matter how much oil is found. Don’t get me wrong a huge find and a stable well will produce a surge in the SP’s for everyone in the region, but until there is real political stability I don’t think any E&P can realize their full potential. I'm still buying so I hope things stabilize soon.
