Delay With Drilling Results
Delay With Drilling ResultsHere's my take on the reason why we're seeing delay on drilling results.
The last NR was on Feb. 4, three weeks ago. That's a long delay considering that there are now two drill rigs working on the site.
Got to remember that the resources defined by Rangold were 81.6mm tonnes grading 1.01 g/t for 2.65mm oz.
The first NR was on Dec. 16: Three holes with average 1.22 g/t over 112 m. Highlighted by 136 m @ 1.66 g/t.
Notice that it's much higher than the 1.01 g/t by Randgold. Stock goes up from 0.40 to 0.75. The next day up to 0.90. Ahhh the good old days...
Second NR the numbers were more or less in line with Randgold numbers.
Third NR on Feb. 4: 191 m @ 1.31 g/t. Again it's much higher than Randgolds' 1.01 g/t. Stock on big volume goes to $1.02. Ahhhh I love it...
Also got to remember that all these are infill drillings and not grass root on a virgin property.
When Volta gets results on the drill cores from the lab they are able to compare them with the ones from Randgold.
Should they find a big difference in grading they will ask the lab to do the test over again and a third time if they wish, more so if the numbers are to much higher or lower than Randgolds'.
Now three weeks without a NR is quite long. Does that mean that they asked the lab to do the assays a second and a third time because again they are way off (either up or down) from Randgold?
We'll know on the day of the NR...
