RE: Goldcorp buyout

RE: Goldcorp buyout
I think what happened was two things.  First was "sell the news", so as soon as it came out no matter whether or not it was good, everyone that believes in sell the news sold.  Second was that if I read it correctly, and go back and look at past indications of reserves, it seems like it was always recognized that there was about 1M ozs of gold at Hard Rock.  All this seemed to do was confirm a number that seemed to already be associated with the resource so because it didn't add massive amounts to the numbers it was viewed as a non-event.

As yahearme says, still lots of other stuff to be associated with these guys, but its likely to take a hit in the meantime as people who bought the runup get frustrated that it doesn't go further - like the ones that come along every once in a while and say "This is a POS" or "PG is broken" - and selling pressure drives it down.

I sold the news because that's what I do, so I got out just over $4 for a good enough profit, and I'll wait for it to come back onto the bottom of the price channel before I jump back on for the next leg up.   Standard bounce pattern on PG seems to suggest that will be about a month or so from now, which might be good timing for other drills results and for the runup that will likely occur prior to the Hardrock underground 43-101 release.
