if the micros "might be more susceptible to the forces than the macros" then wouldnt this suggest we wont see the same degree/extent of purple coloration in the macros?

we are getting ahead of ourselves though.... the possibility exists that we mightnt see any macros period in Quebec

Im not getting your 'proximal source' reference........ are you saying that concentration of purples suggests that the plastic deformation force (required for this coloration) took place 'on site' as it were...... i.e. the conglomerates are not some 'down ice' depositional phenomenon?

Hasnt DOR already stated that Leadbetter is a source in and of itself...... kelphytic rims intact etc pointing to that fact that the diamonds havent travelled any significant distance...... presumably the same applies to the Quebec conglomerates since they are similar in most other fashions to leadbetter?
