The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) won 29 seats. In Duhok, the KDP got 9 seats of the 10 seats. The other seat was won by the Islamic Union of Kurdistan. KDP also won the majority of Kurdish seats in Hawler (Erbil) and Mosul (Nineveh).
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) won in the disputed province of Kirkuk. The party of Jalal Talabani got 5 seats, the KDP 2 seats and Gorran one. Possible Kurds will get an extra seat. The IUK also claims to have won one seat in Kirkuk.
