RE: Questions for swissinvestor

RE: Questions for swissinvestor
Q1) Define what an epithermal gold system is and if it is significant to Ecometals & why - specifics as how or if it relates to EC's currentdrilling program.
Epithermal gold deposits form in hydrothermal systems related to volcanic activity..
https://www.ecometalslimited.com/projects/results2.pdf pg1 The hole is strongly structurally disrupted throughout. The structural zone is partly a fault breccia which controls the western margin of the pull-apart basin, but this is further complicated by igneous intrusion and hydrothermal alteration which used the same zone of weakness. As a result, a breccia with xenoliths of all types of host rocks
and variable matrix of Fruta andesite and alteration minerals was formed overprinting the basin stratigraphy. The volcanic breccia comprises xenoliths of Zamora Batholith granodiorite, Suarez Fm sediments and Misahuallí Fm volcanics. The breccia matrix is variable, partly chlorite-carbonate-epidote altered material, fine grained or porphyritic Fruta Andesite, and in places carbonate, quartz and sulphides.

Q2) Describe what a hydrothermal vent is and its relevancy to an epithermal gold system or if there is a relevance and what that means to the exploration program is practical and real terms.

A2) A hydrothermal vent is a fissure in a planet's surface from which geothermally heated water issues. Hydrothermal vents are commonly found near volcanically active places, areas where tectonic plates are moving apart, ocean basins, and hotspots.
Hydrothermal vents are locally very common because the earth is both geologically active and has large amounts of water on its surface and within its crust. Common land types include hot springs, fumaroles and geysers. The most famous hydrothermal vent system on land is probably within Yellowstone National Park in the United States. Under the sea, hydrothermal vents may form features called black smokers.

What it means for EC
https://www.ecometalslimited.com/projects/results.pdf pg1
Suarez Fm strong evidence for proximity to hydrothermal vent with silicification,
carbonate-quartz veining, manganese mineralization, disseminated and veinlet
sulphides and characteristic alteration (propyllitic, potassic, sericitic)

Greenstone-hosted quartz-carbonate vein deposits typically occur in deformed greenstone belts of all ages, especially those with variolitic tholeiitic basalts and ultramafic komatiitic flows intruded by intermediate to felsic porphyry intrusions, and sometimes with swarms of albitite or lamprophyre dyke. They are distributed along major compressional to transtensional crustal-scale fault zones in deformed greenstone terranes commonly marking the convergent margins between major lithological boundaries, such as volcano-plutonic and sedimentary domains. The large greenstonehosted quartz-carbonate vein deposits are commonly spatially associated with fluvio-alluvial conglomerate (e.g. Timiskaming conglomerate) distributed along major crustal fault zones (e.g. Destor Porcupine Fault). This association suggests an empirical time and space relationship between large-scale deposits and regional unconformities.
These types of deposits are most abundant and significant, in terms of total gold content, in Archean terranes. However, a significant number of world-class deposits are also found in Proterozoic and Paleozoic terranes. In Canada, they represent the main source of gold and are mainly located in the Archean greenstone belts of the Superior and Slave provinces. They also occur in the Paleozoic greenstone terranes of the Appalachian orogen and in the oceanic terranes of the Cordillera.
